The Tennessee Titans have sent a contract to free agent quarterback Jason White and are expected to come to terms with the former Oklahoma Sooner as early as today.

White, the 2003 Heisman Trophy winner, went undrafted in the NFL Draft two weeks ago.

The 6-3, 226-pound White led the Sooners to a perfect regular season in 2004 only to fall to Southern Cal 55-19 in the national championship game.

White will compete for the Titans No. 3 quarterback spot, behind Steve McNair and Billy Volek. Other candidates for the position include recent undrafted free agent signees Shane Boyd (Kentucky), Gino Guidugli (Cincinnati) and Marcus Randall (LSU).
