The Tennessee Titans began the process of signing their 2011 draft class Thursday as they came to terms with four of their nine selections.
Fourth-round picks Colin McCarthy, a linebacker out Miami, and Jamie Harper, a running back from Clemson, were the highest of the picks to sign. Also signed were sixth-round pick Byron Stingily, a tackle from Louisville and seventh-round selection Zach Clayton, a defensive tackle out of Auburn.
McCarthy played all three linebacker positions during his college career but projects as a middle linebacker in the NFL.
Harper is the biggest of the team’s tailbacks and has experience on special teams.
Players are scheduled to report Friday for the start of training camp. The first workout is set for Saturday.
