Two contributors to the Tennessee Titans’ 4-0 start were honored for their play in the month of September as defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month and running back Chris Johnson was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month.
Haynesworth leads all NFL defensive tackles with five sacks, just a year after having six sacks last year in his breakout season with the Titans. He also has 21 tackles, five quarterback pressures, three tackles for loss, a pass defensed and a forced fumble.
Johnson, the Titans’ first-round pick last April, has 337 rushing yards and has accounted for 402 yards from scrimmage, both of which rank him second in the AFC.
If the Titans let Haynesworth go after this season Reinfeldt(sp?) should be fired on the spot. THE most important thing in the NFL is DEF and we have one of the most dominant Def players. You do not let him walk out of here.
I agree BP, letting him go when we are in great shape salary cap wise would be a huge mistake.
but will he continue this play once the money is in his account? . . . . if they think so, then absolutely show him the money, if they think not, then let him walk.
