Defensive tackle Jason Jones’ season is over for the Tennessee Titans, as he was to undergo shoulder surgery on Wednesday.
“Jason is going to have season-ending surgery for a mild rotator cuff tear,” Coach Jeff Fisher confirmed.
Jones originally suffered the injury back on Sept. 27 against the New York Jets and missed a total of five games while trying to play through the injury. The 2008 second-round draft choice is still tied for the team lead with four sacks.
The Titans have not yet decided what they will do with the roster spot that will be created by Jones’ surgery.
