The Tennessee Titans announced on Monday they have officially hired Earnest Byner as the team's running backs coach.

He previously coached for the Baltimore Ravens from 1998-2003 and with the Washington Redskins from 2004 through last season.

As a player, Byner played for the Browns, Redskins and Ravens. He rushed for 8,261 yards in his career and went to two Pro Bowls. However, he is also remembered a game with the Browns when he lost the ball on the 3-yard line while attempting to score on the Denver Broncos during the 1987 AFC Championship game.
