The Tennessee Titans re-signed long snapper Jon Dorenbos on Friday and placed veteran tight end Erron Kinney on injured reserve to make room.
Dorenbos, who played in nine games for the Titans last season, will step in again for injured Ken Amato, whose thigh injury won't allow him to play on Sunday in Washington.
Kinney's season is over before it began because of a knee injury that required surgery in late July.
Kinney, who had 55 catches a year ago, suffered a setback and inflammation in his joint last week. The move to IR raises serious doubts as to Kinney's future with the Titans and his career as well, given the length of time he has battled the latest knee problem.
