The Tennessee Titans salvaged many of their final roster cuts and added them back to their practice squad on Sunday.
All eight players signed to the practice squad had been in camp with the Titans previously.
Included in that group was wide receiver Biren Ealy and defensive tackle Antonio Johnson, both surprise cuts among the final group let go. The players agents confirmed their returns.
Also, cornerback Cary Williams, a seventh-round choice beset by quadriceps and knee problems, was brought back to the practice squad as well, his agent Harold Lewis confirmed.
Other signing confirmed by the players agents included offensive linemen Fernando Velasco and Jason Murphy and tight end Jamie Petrowski,
Ealy had been the Titans leading receiver in preseason yardage-wise with six catches for 101 yards, while Johnson, a fifth-round choice in 2007, had been expected to be the fourth defensive tackle, but lost out to Kevin Vickerson.
Quarterback Ingle Martin, a former MBA star, was also expected to be re-signed as was defensive back/punt returner Tuff Harris.
