The Tennessee Titans released four players from their roster Saturday morning, waiving quarterback Robert Kent, safety Akil Grant, defensive tackle Louis Gachelin and receiver Jake Roberts.
Kent, who was trying to unseat Jason Gesser as the Titans' third-string quarterback, played only sparingly in the preseason, seeing action only at the end of the preseason opener against Cleveland.
Grant had probably done the most of the four, gathering in an interception at the end of the Browns game and showing flashes on special teams a well.
Gachelin was signed as an emergency defensive tackle after preseason began because of injuries on the defensive line.
Roberts had been bothered by a foot injury for the final week of training camp.
