Titans sign punter Miller, release QB Simms

As a precaution for punter Craig Hentrich’s back, the Tennessee Titans signed punter Josh Miller on Saturday and released quarterback Chris Simms.

Simms is expected to be re-signed next week during the Titans bye week.

The move also means that Vince Young will be Tennessee’s second-string quarterback this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.

Miller filled in for Hentrich, who did not practice this week but punted before Friday's practice, last year at New Orleans and was in training camp with the Titans this summer.
