Cornerback Ryan Mouton and the Tennessee Titans agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth just over $2.4 million with escalators that could make the package worth as much as $3 million.

Mouton, a third-round pick from Hawaii, has incentives that are tied to playing time and team performance that can boost the overall value of the deal.

The first-year bonus of the contract is in line with last year’s third-round slotting, and is worth between $655,000 and $675,000. Mouton became the second Titans rookie to agree to a deal on Tuesday, joining fourth-round linebacker Gerald McRath.

That brings the total number of draft picks in the fold to six of the 11-member 2009 draft class.

Mouton is expected to play backup role in the secondary, perhaps as the dimeback and also vie for the kick return spot.
