Phil Kessel won’t be coming to the Nashville Predators.
General manager David Poile publicly confirmed in recent days the team’s interest in acquiring the high-scoring, 21-year-old forward from the Boston Bruins.
On Friday, though, it was reported that the Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Kessel for a pair of future draft picks and immediately signed him to a five-year contract worth more than $5 million per season.
