The TSSAA Board of Controls has voted to implement a 1.8 multiplier that will be applied to the enrollment of non-public schools that are in Division I for the purposes of classification. No non-public school shall be moved more than one classification of the multiplier in one classification period. The new classifications will go into effect beginning in the fall of 2005 and running through 2009.

Based on enrollment numbers that the TSSAA used from 2001-2005, Class 1A schools such as CPA, DCA, FRA, Ezell-Harding and Davidson Academy will move up to 2A. Nashville Christian will likely remain in 1A.

Class 2A schools David Lipscomb and Goodpasture will move up to 3A.
