Tennessee State cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was picked 16th in the first round by the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday.

The Tigers star made an impression on scouts at the NFL Combine and at the Senior Bowl.

Vanderbilt offensive tackle Chris Williams was selected with the 14th overall pick by the Chicago Bears.

The 6-foot-7, 320-pound Williams, a native of Glynn, La., started for two seasons at left tackle for the Commodores and earned all-SEC honors in 2007.

A third player from an in-state school, UT's Jerod Mayo, was taken 10th by the New England Patriots.

Check back later for more coverage and reaction from Williams, who has a press conference in Nashville scheduled for today.
