JaJuan Smith scored 11 points for the Vols, who held off a stiff challenge from the No. 7 seeded Bulldogs. Butler took a two-point lead in overtime, but Tennessee came back with buckets from Wayne Chism and Ramar Smith and held on to the lead late.

Tennessee will now play the Louisville-Oklahoma winner in the Sweet 16.
