Wrestling, football go hand in hand

A few seasons ago, during pre-game warm-ups at the Coliseum, stadium police were alerted to a commotion going on in the south end zone, with ex-Titan fullback Lorenzo Neal right in the middle of it.

When police arrived, they were alarmed to find the 245-pound Neal wrestling a 100-pound teenager to the ground. When the officers tried to separate them, Neal explained the two were just playfully wrestling and there was nothing to worry about.

The scrawny teen was current Franklin Road Academy senior Cody Taylor, who was on the field as one of the 15 FRA varsity wrestlers in charge of setting up and taking down the inflatable tunnel the Titans run through on game day. One of the perks of the job for Taylor is his encounters with professional athletes, like the one with Neal, in which he claims to have gotten the best of the former All-Pro fullback.
