At the end of the last Ice Age, more than 10,000 years ago, human beings began to use the Cumberland River. They hunted game in its valleys, fished in its waters, later used it to transport boatloads of goods for trade, and finally in the 20th century, harnessed the waters to produce electricity.
Somewhere along the way, the Cumberland River
