Volunteers are needed Saturday to help clean up the East Nashville route for the Second Annual Country Music Marathon set for April 26.
Volunteers should meet at 8 a.m. at one of three stations: East Park on Woodland Street; South 14th and Fatherland streets and the Shelby Bottoms entrance at Shelby Park.
The East Area Business Council, the Boy Scouts, Kroger and students from Nashville State Tech have committed to help but more volunteers are needed.
Metro Parks and Kroger will provide refreshments for the volunteers. T-shirts and mugs will be given to volunteers on a first come, first served basis.
Gloves and bags will be provided. Free mulch will be available at the entrance to Shelby Bottoms for residents along the route who would like to dress up their yards.
