It has taken much longer than expected, but come Sunday in Indianapolis, rookie defensive end Bo Schobel should make his long-awaited professional football debut.
The Tennessee Titans activated both Schobel and cornerback Tony Beckham from the physically unable to perform list Monday, restoring both players to the 53-man active roster.
Schobel was expected to be part of a three-man rookie rotation with Travis LaBoy and Antwan Odom for the Titans this season that was to replace free-agent departee Jevon Kearse. However, that plan was dented when Schobel suffered a broken bone in his right foot during a June mini-camp and has been rehabbing the injury ever since.
