Cornea Consultants of Nashville announces the association of Bernard H. Chang, M.D.
Dr. Chang is returning to Nashville where he received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. His focus is cornea transplantation, anterior segment and cataract surgery, and refractive surgical procedures.
Dr. Chang is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and The American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Medical Association.

Axis Accounting Systems adds Cooper as consultant
Axis Accounting Systems, Inc., a provider of financial software and consulting services, has announced the addition of Nancy Cooper to its consulting team.
Cooper brings eight years of systems consulting experience to the firm. Before joining Axis Accounting Systems, Cooper worked as an independent Epicor Software consultant in Charlotte, N.C.
Her experience includes project management, accounting systems design, systems automation, software training and installation, technical assistance, data conversion and systems engineering.
Cooper began her career in Atlanta, where she earned her degree in accounting from Georgia State University.
Baptist/Saint Thomas announces appointments
Baptist Saint Thomas Home Care announces the following five appointments:
Edward Giannotti has been named executive director. Giannotti has 20 years experience in health care, including long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital and home care. He began working with Saint Thomas Health Services in a consulting role last year. Giannotti earned his bachelor's degree from LaSalle University.
Patty Rush, R.N., has been named director of Patient Care Services. Rush has an extensive clinical background and 18 years experience with Baptist. She earned her associate's degree at Columbia State Community College and is a graduate of the Baptist Hospital School of Practical Nursing.
Leslie Reese, R.N., has been named director of Clinical Support Services. Reese has an extensive clinical background and has been with Baptist Saint Thomas Home Care since 1996. She earned an associate's degree at Austin Peay State University and has earned the BCLS, ACLS, CCRN and Wound Vac Level II certifications.
Krista Hockaday, R.N., has been named physician liaison. Hockaday graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Nursing and has an extensive clinical background in home care, trauma and ICU. She joined Baptist Saint Thomas Home Care in 2002.
Lisa Roberson has been named accounting manager. Roberson has 19 years experience in home care and hospice. She previously worked for Middle Tennessee Medical Center and earned her degree in business administration at Middle Tennessee State University.
Schnarrs joins Pinnacle Financial Partners
Andrea Schnarrs has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners, the largest Nashville-based financial services firm.
Schnarrs, based at Pinnacle's Franklin office, brings 10 years of experience to her role of client service specialist. She comes from Fifth Third Bank where she served as a personal banker. Prior to Fifth Third she served in a similar role at Franklin National Bank.
McKendree Village Welcomes Gluth
Bonnie Gluth has been promoted to executive administrator of healthcare at McKendree Village.
Gluth was previously assistant administrator of the Healthcare Center at McKendree Village.
Gluth, who has been associated with McKendree Village since 1991, is a credentialed preceptor for the State of Tennessee. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in health care administration.
Wehby joins Prudential Woodmont
Prudential Woodmont Realty has announced that Ann Wehby has joined the company's Green Hills office.
Wehby is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and Belmont University, where she received a degree in nursing.
Prior to joining Prudential Woodmont, she worked as a nurse in various capacities from hospital work to home health care to case management.
ADS Security names Kappel
F. Steven Kappel has joined ADS Security as senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Kappel was previously vice president of sales and marketing of Johnson Screens, Inc., St. Paul, Minn, a global filtration business, and a division of Weatherford International Ltd.
Kappel is responsible for the overall sales and marketing activities of the company and its 13 offices in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, and Georgia, which serve more than 50,000 commercial, institutional and residential clients.
Kappel previously was director of worldwide marketing for Fleetguard, Inc., Nashville, from 1998-2001. His experience also includes 14 years with Honeywell, Inc., an international controls company.
Kappel received his master's degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Shea new editor for Smith's TELL
Kara E. Shea, an attorney in the Nashville office of Miller & Martin, has been named a new editor of the popular monthly newsletter Tennessee Employment Law Letter, published by M. Lee Smith Publishers LLC. Shea is only the second person in the
publication's 19-year history to hold this position.
John B. Phillips, Jr., a lawyer with Miller & Martin who also serves as deputy general counsel for Coca Cola Enterprises Inc., will continue as the other editor of the newsletter, while relinquishing significant writing, research, and other editorial duties to Shea.
Shea practices labor and employment law with Miller & Martin. She handles EEOC matters for national, regional, and local clients and also defends employers in employment litigation.
Shea received a B.S. degree from Boston University, graduating summa cum laude, in 1991, and a J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University where she was a published associate editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
Synaxis tabs Anderson as CEO
George J. Anderson has been named president and CEO of Synaxis Group, one of the largest insurance brokerage companies in the United States.
Anderson has two decades of insurance experience. He joined Polk & Sullivan Group, Inc., as a commercial lines broker in 1986 and rose to executive vice president. In 1998 he helped form Synaxis and was named executive vice president.
Time Warner Book adds MacGregor
The Time Warner Book Group has announced that Chip MacGregor has been hired as associate publisher for its Warner Faith and Center Street divisions.
In his new role, MacGregor will provide leadership for the editorial departments of Warner Faith and Center Street.
MacGregor is an industry veteran bringing almost two decades of publishing experience. For three years, he served as a senior editor at Harvest House Publishers in Eugene, Ore. For the past six years, was a literary agent with Alive Communications.
MacGregor has a master's degree from Talbot Seminary, is a graduate of Portland State University, and has done doctoral work at the University of Oregon. Last year, he was a visiting scholar at Oxford University.
Dammeyer joins AmSouth Bank
AmSouth Bank announces the addition of Lance Dammeyer to the mortgage department in Williamson County.
Dammeyer will be responsible for the origination of mortgage loans and will be based out of the Cool Springs office. He will also be responsible for developing new business and building relationships with realtors and builders.
Dammeyer has four years of experience in the mortgage industry. Prior to joining AmSouth, he was with Oak Street Mortgage and New HorizonsCLC.
Dammeyer received a B.A. from the University of Toledo.
Bank of America promotes senior VP
Bank of America announces the promotion of Mark Thomas McQueen to senior vice president.
McQueen has been with Bank of America for 10 years and manages the market development function for Tennessee. This activity focuses on building the Bank of America brand in the local communities the bank serves. Within the market development function are the local charitable investments, marketing sponsorships, media relations, government relations and community involvement.
YMCA names Gray group VP
Robert W. Gray, Jr. has been named group vice president of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, overseeing the Donelson-Hermitage Family YMCA, the Oakwood Commons YMCA, and the Donelson Indoor Tennis Center.
Gray joins the Middle Tennessee association after 14 years with the YMCA of Greater Louisville. He brings 18 years of YMCA experience.
Most recently, Gray served as district executive director in Louisville, covering the Southwest Family Y. He also served as program director for the YMCA of Tuscaloosa (Ala.) County from 1988-1990, and as program director for the YMCA of Greater Louisville from 1986-1988.
Gray holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville. He was recognized as Executive Director of the Year for the YMCA Association of Professional Directors in 1996 and served as a YMCA trainer for the Y's Financial Development Institute in 2002.
Relegent adds Just as VP
Relegent has named Mark Just as vice president of marketing and sales.
Prior to joining Relegent, Just was the area manager for Bioimaging, a local provider of outpatient diagnostic imaging services. Previous to that, Just served as regional marketing director and vice president of community relations at Psychiatric Management Resources Inc.
Just has spent the majority of his career focused on healthcare business development, marketing and clinical issues.
Just graduated from Truman State University in Missouri with a degree in nursing and earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Nall joins Regions as vice president
Doug Nall has joined Regions Bank as vice president and commercial loan officer in the company's Franklin office.
Nall was previously associated with the business development group of Fifth Third Bank in Brentwood.
Nall is past president of the Friends Board of the Susan Gray School at Vanderbilt University. Nall is a graduate of the Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. degree in business administration.
Manning named at Pinnacle Financial
Pinnacle Financial Partners has named long-time Williamson County business leader Vickie Manning as its area executive for Franklin and Cool Springs.
As area executive, Manning will oversee all client service, marketing, operations and community involvement for Pinnacle's Cool Springs and Franklin offices.
With 20 years of financial services experience, Manning joined Pinnacle in March 2003 as a senior vice president and financial advisor. She previously served in a variety of roles for SunTrust Bank, including group vice president and commercial lending team leader, relationship manager and branch manager.
Manning has spent most of her career in Williamson County where she is actively involved in the community. She currently serves on the executive board of the United Way of Williamson County and is an active member of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce and the Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Horne CPA Group adds Jahrling, McClarty
Karl Jahrling, CPA, and Megan McClarty, CPA, have joined Horne CPA Group.
Jahrling, who was previously a partner with the accounting firm Byrd Procter & Mills, PC, joins Horne CPA Group as director of tax services. McClarty, formerly a staff accountant with Bumpus Hall CPAs, PC, is a senior associate at Horne, working primarily in the audit and tax areas.
Jahrling has more than 27 years of accounting experience in corporate, partnership, individual trust and non-profit taxation. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Accountancy with a BS degree in business administration.
McClarty has two years of experience working in all areas of accounting practice and is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. McClarty holds a B.S. degree in accounting and business administration from Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.
Wilson moves with Union Planters
Michael S. Wilson has joined Union Planters' Bellevue branch office.
Wilson, who is a residential loan specialist, was previously associated with the Union Planter's branch on West End Avenue.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. degree in finance and business administration, Wilson is active in the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and the Nashville Mortgage Banker's Association. He is an affiliate member of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors.
Strunk rejoins BWSC as VP
Brian L. Strunk has joined Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon, Inc. (BWSC) as a vice president and the Water Resources/Environmental Operating Unit manager in the firm's Knoxville office.
Strunk, who worked at BWSC from 1987-1993 as a project manager and design engineer, has more than 20 years of environmental engineering experience. Most recently, he was a project manager, budget coordinator, and team leader for the Knoxville Utilities Board.
Strunk received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
