Like a lot of Americans after Sept. 11, Sheila Komisar was looking to do something in her life with a purpose. She found it at the Red Cross.
As a collection phlebotomist, Komisar draws blood from people all around Middle Tennessee. She works mobile drives within a 200 mile radius of Nashville, covering everything from Bowling Green to Clarksville, and working in environments ranging from board rooms to parking lots to Red Cross offices like the one at 2201 Charlotte Ave.
