Zeitlin & Company launches urban residential division
Nashville-based Shirley Zeitlin & Company, Realtors, has launched Zeitlin InTown to address the surge of residential growth within Nashville's central core.
Zeitlin InTown is the exclusive agent for two developments: Terrazzo, the 14-story mixed-use project proposed for the Gulch; and Salem Gardens, a 21-unit residential building in historic Germantown. The company also represents The Row at 31st in the West End area.

First Tennessee contributes $815,000 to area non-profits
First Tennessee has announced it contributed more than $815,000 to about 150 Middle Tennessee non-profits in 2005.
"The success of our expansion in the Middle Tennessee market has made it possible to dramatically increase our support of these many worthwhile organizations," said Mike Edwards, Middle Tennessee market president for First Tennessee. "I'm especially pleased that in addition to our financial contributions, our employees have made a difference with their personal contribution of their time and talents through volunteerism."
RenTech helps Rivals.com set one-day Web site mark
Brentwood-based data service management company RenTech, the Internet home of Rivals.com, helped the recruiting service set a single-day Web site management record during the Feb. 1 college football National Signing Day.
The Rivals site, at its peak, had 600 Megabits per second of traffic, company officials said, adding the site attracted 57 million Web page views and nearly 1,200 new paid subscriptions.
"We appreciate the pre-planning and expert services that RenTech provided us," said Greg Gough, Rivals chief technology officer.
SSR to acquire Denver operation
Nashville-based Smith Seckman Reid, Inc., an engineering design and facility consulting firm, will acquire Gordon, Gumeson and Associates, Inc., a Denver-based engineering company.
With the acquisition, SSR now has nine office locations throughout the United States.
The acquisition is the result of a marketing alliance initiated more than 18 months ago between the two firms, Richard Morris, SSR executive vice president, said in a release.
