Titans place kicker Rob Bironas was honored as the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his contributions in a 16-10 win over Indianapolis, in which Tennessee clinched a Wild Card playoff berth.
Bironas booted three field goals in the victory, connecting from 40, 54 and 33 yards. He also converted on his extra-point attempt and recorded one solo tackle on special teams. His 54-yarder gave Tennessee a 13-10 lead with 7:33 on the clock in the fourth quarter. Bironas’ 33-yard conversion with 2:56 remaining sealed the win for the Titans.
Bironas will represent the AFC as its kicker for the 2008 Pro Bowl in Hawaii this February.
