NCAA Basketball Tournament brackets will be released today, much to the interest of four schools in the Nashville area.
Vanderbilt, 26-7, is projected to be seeded from No. 4 to 6 by most experts even after losing to Arkansas on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
The Commodores will make their second straight tournament appearance and third in five years.
"I like our chances in the NCAA Tournament, quite honestly," VU coach Kevin Stallings said. "It's all about matchups and who you draw and how you fit against how they fit. So we'll just see what happens on Sunday, and then we'll go about our business."
Tennessee, 29-4, was upset by Arkansas on Saturday in the SEC Tournament semifinals, but Coach Bruce Pearl still thinks the Vols deserve a No. 1 seed today.
"They'll probably look at this loss and hold it against us," UT guard Chris Lofton said, "but in my opinion we're a 1 seed."
Belmont, which won the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament, and Austin Peay, champions of the OVC, are also NCAA Tournament-bound.
The NCAA selection show will be televised by CBS at 5 p.m. Sunday.
