The Gulch has landed its first national retailer, an apparel and furnishings store that targets the trendy crowd. But it means the concert venue City Hall goes away.
Marketstreet Enterprises, The Gulch developer, announced that Urban Outfitters has leased the 12,000-square-foot space, marking the first Tennessee store for the company. The chain has nearly 100 stores in major markets around the United States.
The store is set to open early next year.
Meanwhile, City Hall will book the venue for concerts through the end of its lease in mid-September. Austin Ray and Benjamin Goldberg, owners of BarTwenty3 across the sidewalk from City Hall, have operated the venue for three years.
