The latest rage not only among NFL players but society in general is Twitter, which allows people snippets of the goings on in their lives for anyone who has an account to see.
Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is among those who has recently caught on to the Twitter craze.
On his account, ChrisJohnson28, the Titans running back is soliciting fans suggestions for end zone celebrations that can rival those of Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco and Buffalo Bills star wideout Terrell Owens.
Last season, Johnson etched his name into the conversation of best end zone celebrations by playing the bongo drums after a long touchdown run against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was fined $15,000 for the incident.
Thus far, though, Johnson has come up dry in the suggestions received.
“I’m going to test out celebrations,” Johnson said. “I’ve gotten some, but I feel like I didn’t get any one that caught my attention yet. I got a whole lot of reaction. It really surprised me, because I just started Twitter week during OTAs, and I’ve already got like 500 followers. It really surprised me a lot. I’ve probably gotten over 20 replies on celebrations and stuff like that.”
Johnson was jokingly asked that if a fine comes his way because of a celebration, would he ask the fan who suggested it for any help paying for the infraction.
“I’ll pay the fine. If it’s better than T.O. or Ochocinco, I’ll pay the fine,” Johnson said.
When asked why he is asking for such help, Johnson replied, “I’m trying. I need help. I’m pretty sure they’ve got somebody to help them. I’m thinking hard right now.”
His marketing promoter is the one who suggest Johnson open a Twitter account, and Johnson says finding help in an entertainment-based town like Nashville shouldn’t be that difficult.
“I think they should [help me], being that this is a big country [music] town or whatever. I think they should be able to come up with some good things, because they’re used to entertainment,” Johnson said.
Ochocinco, when he was still known as Chad Johnson, did a country line dance to celebrate a TD against the Titans a few years ago. But Johnson says he one-upped the Bengals star by banging on the bongos last year.
"He did a lot of good things, but I did the drums. I've got to come up with something to beat the drums," Johnson said.

No word yet on whether Coach Jeff Fisher will sign up for Johnson’s Twitter account to offer any suggestions.
