Metro Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 23-year-old man found shot to death early Tuesday morning in his north Nashville home.
Derrick Martez Osbourne's father told police he found his son's body around 2 a.m. when returned to his Creekway Court home in Bordeaux. Police said Osbourne's body was found lying on the floor.
Police say they don’t have a suspect at this point, but they would like to talk to the woman who dropped Osborne off at his home Monday at 5 p.m. She was driving a copper-colored Pontiac Vibe, police said. A third individual may also have been in the SUV.
Osborne later drove himself to a friend’s house where he reportedly stayed a short time, according to police. He told his friend he was going home at 8:30 p.m.
The shooting is unrelated to an abandoned car found in north Nashville early Tuesday morning, police said. In that incident, police found blood on the bumper and inside the trunk of a car that crashed into some woods on Roger Williams Avenue.
Anyone with information about the homicide is urged to contact North Precinct detectives at 862-7901 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
