Metro Police and the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed SunTrust Bank’s 3101 Dickerson Pike branch Wednesday morning.
The suspect approached the teller at 9:30 a.m., implied he had a weapon, and was given cash, police said. He fled on foot.
Police describe the suspect as a black man in his mid to late 30s who is approximately 6 feet tall and who weighs approximately 200 pounds. He entered the bank wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and light gray pants with dark shoes.
Anyone who has information about the robbery is urged to contact Detective Keith Sutherland with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone or text message can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
