Metro Transit Authority is planning two new projects and service improvements to five bus routes, and they want the public’s input in the changes.
Two public hearings have been set Jan. 6 to discuss the details.
The new projects include a downtown circulator service, which is designed to help MTA customers, visitors and tourists in downtown Nashville reach their destinations more quickly and a new route to 100 Oaks via the Vine Hill Community.
Service improvements also are being considered for the following routes affecting West End, Hillsboro 20 Scott, Hickory Hollow Mall/Old Hickory Express and the Tusculum/McMurray Express.
The meetings will be held in the Community Meeting Room at Music City Central from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6.
For those unable to attend the meetings, comments may be mailed to MTA Planning Department, Public Hearing Comments, 130 Nestor St., Nashville, TN 37210; faxed to 862-6208 or e-mailed to email@example.com through Jan. 15, 2010.
MTA’s Customer Care line at 862-5950 will also accept verbal commentary.
