Metro police arrested a north Nashville teen on attempted murder charges after he allegedly opened fire on a friend Tuesday afternoon.
The two teens, who police say have been involved in an on-going dispute, were in the 3200 block of Hinkle Drive at 4:30 p.m. when Jerry Lillard, 17, was shot.
Lillard was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening gunshot wounds.
The suspect, also 17, was arrested at 7 p.m. after officers received a tip that he was hiding in the attic of a home in the 2800 block of Hydes Ferry Pike, police said.
Police did not release the name of the suspect.
