Metro police detectives are still looking for information on who targeted a convicted felon in a fatal drive-by shooting in west Nashville on Sunday afternoon.
Police say Brandon Lajames Howard, 19, was standing near his home at 2906 Clifton Ave., when a black or navy blue mid-size SUV pulled up and stopped at 3:15 p.m. Howard began running, at which point several shots were fired at him from the vehicle.
He was taken by a family member to Baptist Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Howard was convicted in September of felony marijuana possession and a felony gun charge, police said. He received one-year sentences on each of the convictions. Howard also received an 11-month, 29-day sentence for another gun possession charge last year.
Anyone with information on the persons involved in Howard’s murder is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
