Sean Jones, the free agent safety who visited the Titans on Monday, has agreed to a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Jones likely chose the Bucs because he will have a better chance to start there. In Tennessee, he would have been a backup to Michael Griffin and Chris Hope.
Jones, 28, had 61 tackles and two interceptions for the Philadelphia Eagles, where he spent last season. His first five NFL seasons were spent with the Cleveland Browns. He has 16 career interceptions.
Jones played at the University of Georgia and also at Atlanta’s Westlake High School, the same school where former Titan Adam “Pacman” Jones played high school football.
