The Nashville Symphony will host a free concert Friday night at Public Square Park in front of the Historic Metro Courthouse.
The concert will begin at 8 p.m., and Music Director Giancarlo Guerrero and Pops Conductor Albert-George Schram will conduct the first half of the concert, which will include familiar popular and classical music, according to symphony spokesman Alan Bostick. The second half will consist of Christopher Cross performing his favorite hits, such as “Sailing” and “Ride Like the Wind.”
“The Nashville Symphony wanted to give a gift to the community,” Bostick said. “We wanted to create a performance in spite of all the challenges coming so soon after the flood.”
