Metro police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation want help identifying a man they believe robbed a U.S. Bank in Belle Meade around 10 a.m. Monday.
A man approached two tellers in the bank at 5312 Harding Pike and demanded cash. Both tellers gave him cash before he ran. The suspect is described as a white man with a dark complexion in his late 30s or early 40s, about 5-feet-9-inches tall, and weighing approximately 170 pounds.
He wore a green button down long-sleeved shirt, jeans and a white baseball hat, and he covered his face with a white cloth.
Police urged anyone with information to contact Detective Keith Sutherland with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
