Blake Geoffrion will return to his Brentwood alma mater today to sign his first professional hockey contract.
The Brentwood native and Nashville Predators’ top pick in the 2006 draft (second round, 56th overall), will sign the deal at 2 p.m. at Granbery Elementary School.
Geoffrion played his college hockey at the University of Wisconsin, where last season he lead his team to the Frozen Four before losing to Boston College in the finals. Geoffrion was awarded the 2010 Hobey Baker Memorial Award, given annually to college’s best player.
Predators General Manager David Poile and Assistant GM Paul Fenton will join Geoffrion and his father at the signing ceremony.
