Off-season behavior problems continue for the Titans as top draft pick, defensive end Derrick Morgan, was pulled over in a traffic stop in Reseca, Ga. on Wednesday. He is from Atlanta and played for Georgia Tech.
Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston said Friday that Morgan was driving 91 mph in a 70 mph zone. He was also driving on a suspended license. Morgan was arrested, but later released on $2,108 bail.
He is charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license. His is expected in court July 26.
The incident occurred the same week as the NFL statement that Titans linebacker Gerald McRath is suspended four games for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy. The week began with reports of Vince Young’s assault citation for an early morning scuffle in a Dallas strip club.
The Titans organization is aware of the traffic stop, but has not released a statement.
