Three men were arrested Tuesday night after police found them atop the Franklin District Attorney’s Office with backpacks filled with spray paint and stencils, police said.
Police said they were called at 11:18 p.m. when an alert citizen reported seeing the trio spray painting graffiti at 130 Fourth Ave. S. The caller said the suspects had just climbed atop the District Attorney’s Office.
The trio had video and still cameras they used to document their work. The Fourth Avenue parking garage and the law office of Puryear, Newman and Morton were vandalized.
Robert Herron, 22, of Brentwood, and Tripp Weir, 20, of Franklin, were charged with felony vandalism and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Their 17-year-old accomplice from Nashville was charged with felony vandalism and violation of the state’s curfew.
