Robert Jason Burdick, better known as the “Wooded Rapist,” tacked on 50 more years in prison Tuesday for his conviction in the 1999 rape of Brentwood teenager.
Burdick received 25 years each on one count of aggravated rape and one count of aggravated kidnapping. The sentences, stemming from a May 21 conviction, are to be served consecutively.
The 40-year-old former owner of a security company now faces a total of 112 years for and sentences in Davidson and Williamson counties.
Just before the latest trial began, Burdick rejected a plea bargain deal in which he would have served 20 years for pleading guilty to the charges.
“Originally there was some discussion about that, and then at the last minute he rejected it,” said Kim Helper, district attorney for the 21st judicial district.
Burdick still faces charges in a Wilson County case and in two more Williamson County cases.
