U.S. Marshals captured an accused child rapist on McGavock Pike Wednesday night after he fled the Louisville, Ky., area earlier this week.
Metro Police and U.S. Marshals tracked Bobby L. White, 30, to a relative’s mobile home in Nashville where he surrendered. Louisville authorities began their search for White on Monday, when he failed to check in with officials there while he was to be detained at home and monitored by a device strapped to his ankle.
White was awaiting trial on charges of rape, sodomy and sex abuse involving a victim younger than 12 years old. After he failed to check in, authorities went to where he was staying and found the monitoring device in some weeds outside the home.
White was held at Metro’s Criminal Justice Center pending extradition to Kentucky.
