Metro police have a man in custody they say is responsible for Wednesday’s bank robbery in Donelson.
Officers arrested Wendell Jason Fluellen on Thursday afternoon in connection the robbery of Wilson Bank & Trust’s branch at 217 Donelson Pike. He allegedly entered the bank armed with a gun just after 10 a.m. and robbed a teller after passing her a demand note.
Fluellen, 32, was taken into custody without incident at an apartment complex on Spring Branch Drive in Madison.
Evidence found at the crime scene led to the quick development of Fluellen as the suspected bank robber.
Fluellen is charged federally with one count of bank robbery.
