The 16-year-old Hillwood High School student arrested in late August for the fatal May shooting outside the Sultan Cafe on Nolensville Road has been charged as an adult.
Ladarius Bryant faces charges homicide, attempted homicide, reckless endangerment and handgun possession charges in the May 15 shooting outside of the café in the Kroger shopping center at 3955 Nolensville Pike.
A bullet hit Kowan Choli Ahmad, 22, in the neck after a dispute at a private party inside the restaurant, and he died 10 days later.
Detectives arrested Bryant on Aug. 25. He had been charged in juvenile court, but on Monday, police charged him in adult criminal court.
Police said Bryant admitted to shooting several times into a crowd gathered outside the restaurant on May 15.
