President Obama, clearly contrite and drained from the losses during the mid-term elections, is regrouping and pledges to reach across the aisle.
This time he means it. Good luck.
Labeled a “crushing defeat” and “catastrophic losses” for Democrats, the sun still rose the next morning. He even characterized it as a “shellacking.”
Now, the Republicans control the House, and it’s going to be the same gridlock and butting of heads that we’ve come to expect from Washington.
Speaker Pelosi’s job is ending and the new one, Boehner, promises to defeat the prior two years of Obama’s hard labor. All of it.
There’s not one redeeming act or law Obama designed, created or signed off on?
Anyone think the Democrats will follow in lock step with any shiny new and improved agenda? Not a chance.
So, a new era is upon us and it’s just another day on Capitol Hill.
