[Placing art in the future SoBro roundabout is] the plan it sounds, and we already have [Musica at the Music Row roundabout] without any major traffic issues. It just took some getting use to, and I imagine the same for the new roundabout is true.
Many large cities have these roundabouts without [safety] issues, like Columbus Circle in New York City or Dupont Circle, among many others, in Washington, D.C.
I think this is a great idea as far as providing a link between the Gulch and SoBro. However, I think the biggest hurdle to further development there would be the proximity of the Nashville Rescue Mission. I am not sure that anyone is going to want to build a hotel with a rather large homeless shelter across the road when there are so many other available locations.
