The segment of Belmont Boulevard between Stokes Lane and Woodmont Boulevard was partially open to traffic early Saturday evening following an afternoon fire at the home of record producer and songwriter Cowboy Jack Clement.
As of 6:30 p.m., three fire engines, two small Nashville Fire Department vehicles and numerous firefighters remained at the site of the severely damaged home. The blaze reportedly began at about 2 p.m. and closed the stretch of Belmont Boulevard.
Officers were stationed in Metro Nashville Police Department vehicles on Belmont and at both the Stokes/Belmont and Woodmont/Belmont intersections to monitor the situation.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
