Following a July 1 seizure of more than 650 grams of marijuana from a Nashville home, detectives on Wednesday seized $20,000 from the alleged drug dealer who lived there.
Police charged Edward Nathan Williams, 26, of Lipscomb Drive — near David Lipscomb Elementary School — with felony possession of oxycodone and marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school as well as unlawful drug paraphernalia.
Two weeks ago detectives executed a search warrant at the Lipscomb Drive home, claiming they found 659.1 grams of marijuana, 10 oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia, ledgers used to keep track of drug transactions and $952 in cash.
Detectives also seized the $20,000 from Williams’ bank account Wednesday.
Based on that investigation, Metro police said members of the Maury County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force searched a home on Claire Drive in Spring Hill where they reportedly discovered an indoor marijuana grow operation with 28 plants, 5 pounds of processed marijuana, a handgun and grow equipment.
Williams, who was arrested on July 1, is currently free on $50,000 bond. More charges may follow in the investigation.
