The suspect who police say ran over a stranger twice with a stolen ATV on Monday is now suspected in last month’s random stabbing of a grandmother.
Detectives investigating Monday’s case in which 21-year-old Kevin Ryan Beasley allegedly ran over the man while fleeing from police now suspect Beasley in the June 3 stabbing  of a 60-year-old grandmother while she pushed her granddaughter in a stroller along Fatherland Street at South 11th Street.
In that incident, the suspect for no apparent reason stabbed the woman in the neck with a kitchen knife and ran away. The victim survived with a non-life-threatening stab wound.
Beasley remains jailed in lieu of $270,000 bond and is charged with attempted murder for running over, and then backing over, Arvid Todd, 43, who was sitting in East Park Monday. The ATV Beasley was riding was stolen earlier that day from a property on 12thAvenue South.
Charges in the June 3 matter are expected go before a Davidson County grand jury in the near future.
