A neighbor’s call to report that lights were on inside a house for sale on Currywood Drive, and that a light colored sedan was parked outside, led to Monday morning’s arrest of three women suspected of breaking into the residence.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said West Precinct Officer Ashley Coon stopped the suspected getaway car on Brook Hollow Road near Brown Lee Drive in West Nashville. The three women, Allister Austin, 20, Elizabeth Johnson, 18, and Donna Garton, 36, were taken into custody. A computer and other items allegedly taken from the home were recovered from the trunk. Austin and Garton admitted their involvement in the burglary, police said.
Austin and Garton, both of Croley Drive, are charged with aggravated burglary and are being held in lieu of $20,000 bond each. Both Garton and Austin have previous drug possession convictions, according to police.
Johnson, of Westboro Drive, is also charged with aggravated burglary and is being held on $10,000 bond.
