LP Field was one of three sites named to host the 2012 CONCACAF Olympic Qulifying Tournament, the United States Soccer Federation announced Thursday.
Two teams from the eight-team event, which takes place March 22 through April 2, will earn a spot in the field for the Olympics.
In addition to Nashville, matches will be held at Carson, Calif., and Kansas City.
The event kicks off at LP Field, where one of the four-team groups will play its preliminary matches. A similar set of games with the other four teams will take place at Carson.
The semifinals and finals will be held at Kansas City on March 31 and April 2, respectively.
Six of the eight teams have been set with the United States, Mexico, Canada, El Salvador, Honduras and Panama. The other two have yet to be determined. The date for the draw to set the four-team groups has yet to be determined.
