For the second time in less than a week, a man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a large sum of money from Vanderbilt University.
Samuel Cole Wakefield, 30, was booked into a Davidson County jail this morning on a grand jury indictment for theft of more than $60,000 from Vanderbilt University.
Jason Hunt, a former Vanderbilt employee, was arrested last Friday in Montgomery County, Ark., on a similar charge.
According to Out & About Newspaper , Hunt and Cole are partners and opened a gay nightclub in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, last month.
Wakefield is accused of stealing from Vanderbilt between Jan. 1, 2011, and Sept. 30, 2011, according to the grand jury indictment. Wakefield was booked into jail Wednesday morning and was being held on $350,000 bond.
Wakefield was an owner of local male strip club, Arrow, which closed in December 2010, according to the Nashville Scene.
Hunt, a former president of Nashville Pride organization, is still in the process of being transported back to Nashville to face charges, according to the Davidson County District Attorney’s office.
