Southeastern Conference commissioner Mike Slive will address the Nashville Sports Council as part of its Comcast Spotlight Sports Speakers Series, the Sports Council announced on Wednesday.
Slive will appear at a reception 5-6:30 p.m., Feb. 8 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel and will address the state of the SEC as well as a broad range of topics related to college athletics.
“The Nashville Sports Council has been a great partner of the SEC, hosting our men’s and women’s basketball tournaments in the past and hosting our women’s basketball tournament this March,” Slive said in a release announcing the event. “These are exciting times for the SEC and I appreciate the chance to talk about the great things going on in the conference.”
Reservations are required. There is no cost for Sports Council members. Non-members are welcome at a cost of $35 per person.
