A jury has found Stephen Miguel Hernandez guilty of his role in the September 7, 2010, beating death of Tommy Lee Perkins.
Hernandez, 25, was convicted of first-degree murder and facilitation of aggravated robbery, with the murder conviction carrying at least a 51-year mandatory sentence.
Perkins’ body was discovered in the early morning hours of September 7, 2010, near the Ravin Motel on Brick Church Pike. Metro police arrested Justin Brummett [1], now 22, shortly after Perkins’ death.
A trial date for Brummett has not yet been set. Hernandez will be sentenced on March 2 for the aggravated robbery charge.
